Deactivating or Removing Users
Summary:
Manage access when someone leaves your organisation or no longer needs CMS access.
To Deactivate a User
- Deactivated users remain in the system but cannot log in.
- Go to Users.
- Select the user.
- Click Deactivate Account.
To Delete a User
- Deleting removes the account permanently.
- Before deleting, reassign their content to another user.
- Go to Users.
- Select the user.
- Click Delete.
- Choose whether to transfer their content.
Best Practice: Deactivate users first if you’re unsure — this is reversible, whereas deletion is not.
