Deactivating or Removing Users

Summary:

Manage access when someone leaves your organisation or no longer needs CMS access.



To Deactivate a User

  • Deactivated users remain in the system but cannot log in.

  1. Go to Users.
  2. Select the user.
  3. Click Deactivate Account.

To Delete a User

  • Deleting removes the account permanently.
  • Before deleting, reassign their content to another user.

  1. Go to Users.
  2. Select the user.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Choose whether to transfer their content. Please transfer their content to another CMS user otherwise content they've created in the CMS will be removed.

Best Practice: Deactivate users first if you’re unsure — this is reversible, whereas deletion is not.
